Bikes that grow with you
The Bike Library is a social enterprise that provides safe and reliable bikes to kids between the ages of 1 to 18.
Families become members and borrow bikes, swapping them as their young riders grow. This makes cycling affordable, sustainable, and easy - without the need to worry about servicing bikes or visiting a bike shop when something goes wrong.
More than just providing bikes, the Bike Library aims to build a community of like minded families. Through educational workshops, social playgroups, and local events, members can learn more about their bikes, share knowledge, and connect with others.
The Bike Library started as a local initiative backed by a community grant from Moonee Valley City Council, with the aim of trying to solve a simple problem: kids outgrow bikes too fast.
We believe in creating circularity rather than encouraging consumption, ensuring that every bike gets a full life and every child feels the joy of a safe, high-quality ride.
